04 July 2009 - Bal Kumari Higher Secondary School advanced to the Group ‘E’ semi-finals of the Coca-Coal Inter-school Football Tournament qualifiers with a 6-1 rout of Puja English School at the Sanogaucharan grounds on Saturday.
Muni Raj struck four times, Arun Shrestha twice and Shyam Maharjan scored one goal from Bal Kumari. Robin Deula pulled one back for Puja School. In the second match, Arun Deep Academy edged past Sambhavi School 3-2 in tiebreaker after a 1-1 draw in regular time. Prakash Nepali scored for Arun Deep and Nabin Rai converted for Sambhavi in the regular time.
Likewise, Nilkantha Higher Secondary School defeated Arunima Saikchhik Pratisthan 4-1 in Group ‘D’ match. Samit Thapa and Kumar Gurung scored a brace each for Nilkantha while Ravi Pudasaini replied for Anunima.
