Today is the big day all Nepalese football fans are aniticpating a
hotly anticipated friendly match between Nepal champions Nepal Police
Club and the legendary club from India Mohun Bagan. The Calcutta based
outfit has already arrived
for the clash and eager to showcase their game to new set of football
followers. They have some of the best footballers in South Asia if not
Asia.
One of the most decorated Indian football outfit Mohun Bagan would
want to win against Nepal Police Club in a friendly match. Mohun Bagan
is one of the oldest football clubs in Asia and its history dates back
to more than a century. It is one of the most successful football club
in India having won plenty of accolades and trophies to boost. But it is
still yet to taste victory in the newly revamped I-League.

Sunil Chhetri
The name says it all. A familiar Nepalese name and everyone other
than those who follow will believe him to be a Nepali after all. Even
though Sunil was born in India but is of Nepalese orgin and both his
parents hail from Nepal who had settled later in India. He is also a
popular figure among Nepalese football fan due to his Nepalese
connection.
Sunil Chettri is one of the most coveted forward in South Asia. He
started his senior career from Mohun Bagan and played with various other
clubs and most recently returned to the club where his footballing
journey started. He made debut in the national squad in 2005 and so far
made 58 appearances and scored 33 goals. This will be his second
experience after coming to play in AFC Challenge Cup most recently. He
possesses excellent ball control and good composure infront of goal.
Even though he is of decent height and not too much of physical presence
but his swift movement can cause havoc to NPC defender.
Odafe Onyeka Okolie
Odafe Onyeka Okolie is a Nigerian footballer and is one of the
highest paid footballer in Indian football. He is playing at his best
and is very lethal infront of goal. He started his career in Bangladesh
League where he was not so successful. But his career changed
drastically after he joined Churchill Brothers. He won the I-League once
but his goals statistics of scoring a goal every game is mouth
watering. He scored 101 goals in 87 appearances for Chruchill Brothers
and finished highest scorer in I-League on 3 occasion before moving to
Mohun Bagan in 2011.
In his first season at Mohun Bagan he continued to score goals at
alaraming rate of scoring goals in every game. He has scored 25 goals in
22 appearances for Mohun Bagan in the League. He is all time leading
scorer in I-League and at the age of 26 there is plenty of more to come
before he hungs up his boots. A deadly preadator infront of goal. NPC
defender would have a nightmare containing him and Sunil at the same
time.
Syed Rahim Nabi
Syed Rahim Nabi is one of the versatile player in Mohun Bagan's fold.
Although he is a midfielder he can play as full back as well. One
notable thing about him is he started his career as a striker. He is a
product of the Tata Academy and has 46 caps for his country and scored 4
goals so far. He is at peak of his career and want to prove his worth
by stoping out the opponents play in their defensive half.
Syed Rahim Nabi has been nominated for Indian Player of the Year 2012
and is one of the strong favourites to get the award after his
performance for club and country. He started his career from Mohammaden
Sporting Club and then he moved to East Bengal. He switched to cross
town rival Mohun Bengal just a year back. He is a strong player with
loads of stamina. He is there to break down every opponents attack and
provides cover to even this fellow defenders. NPC forwards and attackers
need to get better of him before they can have a shot at goal.
