ANFA bans player, official

KATHMANDU, April 30: The Disciplinary Committee of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has imposed match bans on Three Star Club´s Tanzanian midfielder Castory D Mumbara and Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) official Chhiring Wangdel for their unsporting behavior during a match between the two teams on Wednesday.

The committee imposed a match ban on Mumbara, states a press release issued by ANFA on Friday. Mumbara, one of the key players of Three Star club, had tried to quarrel with spectators after being substituted in the 86th minute. He will miss the upcoming match with Boys Union Club.

Likewise, the ANFA imposed two-match ban on Wangdel. He won´t be allowed to sit in the players´ box for two matches. Wangdel had attempted to manhandle Three Star coach Bal Gopal Maharjan.

Meanwhile, ANFA volunteer Vishan Rai who was among one to assault a young MMC fan in the parapet has been relieved of duty.

Similarly, MMC coach Chhiring Lopsang has been given a warning letter for using foul language to the members of organizing committee.

He has been asked to furnish clarification regarding the use of foul language (hubsi). ANFA said the use of the word is racially discriminatory and against the spirit of FIFA, the world football governing body.
