Coca Cola Cup Inter School Football for Central Region

Kathmandu, May 30 - Lali Gurans School and Pawan Prakriti School registered wins in the Central Region qualifiers for the Coca Cola Nationwide Inter-school Football Tournament here at the FIFA Technical Centre in Chyasal today. Lali Gurans beat Cosmic Academy 4-2 riding on two goals each from Manish Joshi and Binod Shahi. Rabindra Sapkota and Sunil Maharjan replied for Cosmic. In the other match, Pawan Prakriti defeated Pashupati Mitra School 2-0. Sohan Bikram Rai and Dipendra Rai scored for the winners.

At ANFA Complex, Satdobato, Amar English School, Gyanodaya Bal Batika, New Buddha Prakash School and Martyrs’ Memorial School won their matches. Amar English beat Milan Vidya Mandir 6-1. Umesh Shrestha struck twice, while Sri Krishna Dhungel, Sushil Dhungel, Raju Shrestha and Sanam Dhungel netted one each for the winners. Binay Thapa scored the consolation goal for Milan Vidya Mandir. Adil Maharjan scored the solitary goal as Gyanodaya Bal Batika beat Koteshwor Saraswoti School 1-0. Also, New Buddha Prakash School thrashed Gillette Secondary School 8-0. Bikesh Khadgi, Rupesh Chhetry, Krina Subba, Karma Lakpa, Ballav Pudasaini, Sushil Lama, Kamal Shrestha and Pasang Sherpa scored one goal each for New Buddha Prakash. Martyrs Memorial School earned a walkover win from Kapan High School.
