Pepsi Seven-A-Side: NRT and APF into QF

Kathmandu April, 17 Man-of-the-match Amir Shrestha guided the Armed Police Force (APF) team to victory against Kathmandu Youth Club in the second 7-A-Side Pepsi Inter Club Tournament at Dasharath Stadium on Friday. Shrestha completed his hat-trick in the first half, scoring in the 3rd, 18th and 26th minutes. He added one more in the 27th minute, and his teammate Bishal Rai completed the rout, with a goal in the 44th minute. Kathmandu Youth club managed to penetrate the APF defenses twice but their lack of co-ordination cost them the game.

Meanwhile, in the other match up, New Road Team (NRT) defeated Inter GPS 2-0, with goals from Anil Gurung (25’) and Laxman Ruchel (23’). Gurung was adjudged the man of the match. On Saturday, Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) will take on Manipur, while Nepal Police will play Inter Sports.
