Earlier in the kick off match at Dasharath Stadium, departmental Armed Police Force (APF) was stunned 2-0 by the newly promoted neighbors Swayambhu Club.
Camarah Fayah and Santosh Shrestha netted each during later stage of either half to keep newly promoted Swayambhu´s hope afloat of avoiding relegation.

Swayambhu moved a spot ahead in the 16th place with eight points while APF remained constant in 12th place with 15 points after playing 16 matches. Bottom four teams in the 18-team contest will get relegated.

Fayah scored in the fourth minute of the first half injury time from box when he met a Jibesh Pandey´s deflection off Chinedu Fransis free-kick. The second goal came one minute from time when Shrestha´s 25-yard shot entered the net leaving the substitute goalie Bikram Gurung motionless.

Gurung had replaced first choice goalie Samit Rajbhandari in the 27th minute after he collided with a Swayambhu´s African player.

"Today we had to win the match at any cost to keep our hopes of avoiding relegation," Swayambhu coach Bikram Lama said adding, "The last match to be played against Brigade will be vital in determining our fate."

APF assistant coach Janak Singh Tharu said that his side could not play well as they were exhausted after playing four matches in six days.
