KATHMANDU, May 24: Singer Hemanta Sharma announced to give Rs 10,000 to A division football Club Koilapani Polestar, which is facing financial crunch in their Martyrs Memorial League campaign.
"I´m not a rich person. However, I could not stop myself as I went through the news of Koilapani´s plight on newspapers on Tuesday," said Sharma.
"My initiation is to persuade other people and corporate houses to assist the club," he added.
The only team from outside the Kathmandu Valley in the history of the Martyrs Memorial A Division Football League on Monday announced that it is hit by financial crunch and could quit the ongoing league any time.
