League matches postponed until May 19

KATHMANDU, May 6: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has formally decided to halt the matches of Martyrs Memorial A Division League matches until May 19.

The matches have been suspended owing to the AFC President´s Cup qualifier match to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from May 12-16.

New Road Team (NRT) will be representing Nepal in the President´s Cup as the first leg winner of the top flight domestic league.

According to a press release issued by the ANFA, a joint meeting between the first division clubs and ANFA on Thursday decided to halt the matches.

The date for the remaining matches will be announced after a meeting between ANFA and clubs on May 19.

NRT will take on Abahani Limited, Bangladesh in the inaugural match on May 12, Dordoi Bishkek of Kyrgyzstan of May 14 and Yodei of Chinese Taipei on May 16.
