Best footballer to get apartment

KATHMANDU, April 29: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has decided to award the best player of the year with an apartment at the Mero City project of Royal Orchid Developers Pvt Ltd. ANFA President Ganesh Thapa and director of Royal Orchid, Prakash Bajracharya, signed a three-year deal to this effect on Thursday.

According to Thapa, ANFA will pay only 1.9 million rupees for an apartment worth 2.5 million rupees.

"As players and football lovers suggested us that the players can´t afford to use a car, we took a decision to provide them an apartment," said Thapa. On previous occasions, ANFA awarded best players with Toyota Yaris Car.

Royal Orchid is developing Mero City project at Harisiddhi-1, Lalitpur, which is expected to complete in three years.

"We are happy to support football and footballers while serving our corporate social responsibility," said Royal Orchid´s Director Bajracharya. He also appealed private sectors to take initiatiatives to support sports sector.

ANFA declares the best player of the year on the basis of a player´s contribution to national team and performance in the Martyrs Memorial League.
