6 August 2009 - The AFC U-16 Championship 2010 Group B qualifiers will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from October 5-15 2009, AFC officially confirmed.
The competition features six teams – Bahrain, Iran, Lebanon, Maldives, Nepal and Tajikistan. The top two teams, after a round-robin competition, advance to the finals next year at a venue yet to be decided.
There are eight qualifying groups, with groups A-G containing six teams and Group H comprising three.
The top two teams from Groups A-G advance to the finals while only the top team from Group H qualify. Also qualifying will be the best third-placed team from Groups A-G.
