Footballer suspended

KATHMANDU, March 19: Annapurna Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) slapped a three-year suspension on their player Krishna Kunwar on Friday for remaining absent without informing the club.

In a letter to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the club requested the football´s governing body to take appropriate action against Kunwar unless he refunds nine months´ salary and other expenses amounting to Rs 208,000 that he received from the club.


RCT is said to have learnt that Kunwar has gone to Sikkim, India to play qualifying league. RCT sought help from ANFA to seek the whereabouts of Kunwar by contacting the concerned authorities of Sikkim.
