DHAKA, Bangladesh, Dec 9: Bangladesh Olympic Committee Director and CEO Colonel M Wali Ullah said that the group matches of South Asian Games (SAG) football under the 11th SAG will also be held in Chittagong.
Half of the group matches will be held at the Bangabandhu Stadium, Dhaka, and remaining in Chittagong. Likewise, wushu, wrestling, cycling and three matches of cricket will also be held outside capital Dhaka.
He also claimed that the preparation for SAG was going on as per the plan. “We will be ready during the stipulated date for SAG,” he said. Remaining games out of 23 disciplines will be held in Dhaka.
The 11th SAG is slated to be held from January 29 to February 9.
