UYC survive BBC scare

KATHMANDU, Dec 24 - United Youth Club (UYC) bagged three points from their narrow 3-2 win against Brigade Boys Club (BBC) in the super-league of the Martyrs' Memorial 'B' Division Football, at the Dashrath Stadium, on Wednesday. Binay Maharjan struck twice in United's win after Sabin Neyba opened the account for the team. Rajiv Hada and Bhupenra Rawal scored a goal each for BBC.

Sabin Nayba opened the scoring for United in the 17th minute but the game was soon in the balance when Rajiv Hada found the back of the net in the 45th minute. Binay Maharjan struck in the early minutes of the first half to put United back in front, the goal coming after four easy misses in the first half. This time he made no mistake and lobbed his shot beyond the advancing keeper. Maharjan came back for his second in 72nd minute while Bhupenra Rawal cut the deficit for BBC in the 83rd minute.
