Nepal
Police Club is taking on Bhutanese outfit Yeedzin FC on today at
National Stadium, Cambodia. The outcome of this match will not decide
who is going to the next round as both teams has already been eliminated
after losing their opening two matches. NPC who had arrived with high
hopes of progressing to the next round will certainly be dissappointed
with their results. Nevertheless if they win this fixture at least they
can return home with heads held high.
The
injury crisis for NPC made them pay heavily in this qualifier. But it
should not be an excuse as they should have been well prepared
beforehand for such situation. Part-time strikers in Yogesh and Bhola
should utilize the weak connection between the Bhutanese team. NPC can
play their free flowing attacking game in this match against lowly
Bhutanese team Yeedzin.
Yeedzin
FC are the weeping boys in this group so far conceding huge amount of
goals. This is their third involvement in this competition (2009, 2011).
They had lost all of their six games in this tournament against
international opponents in those two editions. Certainly all the teams
taking part in this tournament are the minnows of Asian football. But
among these teams as well Yeedzin are lacking far behind. Nevertheless
this will add to their experience and playing against quality opponents
will always be a positive thing for the club. Pema Richen and Chencho
are some notable names in the squad.
Previous meeting:
NPC and Yeedzin FC has never played with each other in competitive tournament before.
Match Verdict:
NPC
are strong favorites to win this match. It's just the margin of victory
with which they will win. But again a NPC players must not be
complacent and play with pride. They should also not lack motivation in
this match and keeo focused throughout the game. Yeedzin on the other
hand should try to play more defensively so as not to concede many goals
and try to make counter move.
