APF set to register 18 players

KATHMANDU, Aug 22: After surviving relegation last season in the Martyrs Memorial A-division Football League, Armed Police Force (APF) club is all set to register 18 players at once.
APF is all set to register all their players in All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Monday. "We have signed many players right after the completion of the league. We´ll register them in ANFA either on Monday or Tuesday," said Team-manager Prem Shrestha.

APF have finished last league in the 10th position, the worst among the three seasons of the club in top flight. APF were seeking new set of player right after the league.

APF have signed five players of relegated Sankata Club and four from Friends Club. Likewise, three booters of Machhindra Club and two each from Boys Union and Jawalakhel have signed contract with APF. Nirajan Malla, Arjun Subba, Kobit Karki, Rajendra Rawal and Sudeep Sikhrakar have left Sankata while Noor Raj Kaphle, Deepak Gurung, Rajan Adhikari and Krishna Lama join APF quitting Friends.

Amir Shrestha, Saurav Magar, Mahesh Khadka left Machhindra to join APF where as Tanka Basnet, Saroj Koirala from Boys Union and Bikram Gurung and Bikram Lama from Jawalakhel also sign with APF.

Meanwhile, NRT midfielder Jiwan Sinkeman also picked APF for further career.

MMC register 6 more

Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) registered six players on Friday in ANFA. Anjan KC, Shiva Shrestha, Sabindra Shrestha, Naresh KC, Rohit Chand and Sujal Shrestha are the six players registered by MMC. MMC have registered 11 players among 17 signed by the club last month. Among the 17 players, Sandeep Rai has already joined I-League II-division club Mohammedan Sporting.
