AFC approves Yeody name change

Kuala Lumpur 06 May 2010: AFC has approved Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA)’s request to change the name of AFC President’s Cup Group A hopefuls Yeody to Hasus NTCPE.

In a letter to the CTFA, AFC said the name change, in the 2010 AFC President’s Cup group stage, takes effect immediately.

Hasus NTCPE were placed in Group A along with hosts Abahani (Bangladesh), Dordoi (Kyrgyzstan) and New Road Team (Nepal). The Chinese Taipei outfit will begin their campaign in Dhaka against the two-time champions Dordoi on May 12.

The top clubs from each group and the best runner-up will advance to the 2010 AFC President’s Cup finals which is scheduled to take place in September.
