15 Sept 2009 - Armed Police Force entered the semi-final of the Club Level National Football Tournament organized by All Star Club Aanbu Khaireni on Tuesday. APF beat Nepal Police Club 2-1 on the quarterfinal match played at Gorakhkali Rubber Udyog ground.
APF took an early lead as their striker Ganesh Lawati scored in the ninth minute. But, NPC came from behind to level the score in the 19th minute. Chetan Ghimire had scored for NPC. The second half of the match remained goalless, but the extra time proved to be lucky for APF. APF found a lovely gift from NPC defender Suraj BK in the 5th minute of extra time as he scored in his own net.
APF player Dhanbir Lal Chaudhary was awarded man-of the-match.
