7 July 2009 - The much anticipated central executive committee elections of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) is set for September 7 in Kathmandu.
The 40 district Football Associations, affiliated to the ANFA, have already been directed to hold their elections between July 1 and July 25, said ANFA vice-president and spokesperson Lalit Krishna Shrestha in a release on Tuesday.
Only on Monday, ANFA and their parallel football organisation Nepal Football Association (NFA) proposed Ganesh Thapa as their common president candidate. Thapa has been at the helm of the ANFA for more than a decade.
