Pokhara June, 6 - Gandaki School beat Shanti Nikunja School 2-1 in tie breaker after a 1-1 draw in the final of the Western Region qualifying Tournament for the Coca Cola Nationwide Inter-school Tournament here on Saturday.
Subash Thapa put Shanti Nikinja ahead in the 13th minute, while Gandaki's Karan Gurung levelled the scores in the 24th minute. On penalties, Karan Gurung and Ram Prasad Chapagain scored for Gandaki. Kumar Gurung converted the only spot kick for Shanti Nikunja.
The finalists have qualified for the final round to be held in Kathmandu. Defending champions Social School and third-placed Gyan Kunja will not be there in the final round after both the teams were knocked out of the qualifiers.
